Thanks for that. Can you give me some more info? > What version of windows are you using?
SrvrPowerCtrl is really designed to be used on a dedicated audio server..i.e. one that you don't 'work' on, but rather one that sits in a closet and just serves up music. I'm in the process of writing enhancements to SrvrPowerCtrl and ReallyPreventStandby so that these plugins would work better in a setup like yours: i.e. a multi-purpose PC. With this sort of a setup, you will be better off turning off SrvrPowerCtrl idle monitoring and instead relying on the operating system's built-in power management. To get this working with windows, I'll need to write another windows utility app: SCSleepMon.exe that will monitor power state changes and tell SrvrPowerCtrl to schedule wakeups, etc. That's probably more than a month away, though. So, in the mean time, when you need to do some 'work' on the PC, use SrvrPowerCtrl's blocking facility to temporarily disable the idle monitoring. The easiest way to do that is just to open up the Squeezeboxserver webUI (http://localhost:9000 in a web browser), click on the 'Extras' drop down list on the left-hand pane, click on the 'Server Power Control' menu and then select 'Block Shutdown/Suspend/etc.' That will disable the idle->suspend actions until you go back to that menu and select 'Clear block'. -- gharris999 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gharris999's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=115 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48521 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
