Hi, I'm also experiencing the problem of my iMac going to sleep while
music is playing. Neither Jiggler nor Caffeine are alternatives for me.
While being useful when reading on the screen it is no good idea to
leave the 27" monitor at full brightness the whole evening while
playing music. However, is this how both Jiggler and Caffeine work.

Therefore I cam to look at SvrPowerControl. I understand that you try
to separate the idle monitoring part in ReallyPreventStandby. Why do
not you simply use the command: /usr/bin/pmset force sleep 0 for
temporarily disabling sleep? After idle time you could reset sleep
settings to say /usr/bin/pmset force sleep 20. The "force" within the
command circumvents any password prompt, no sudo and no root necessary,
however, the sleep settings are only valid during the users sessions
i.e. will get overwritten after restart of the Mac.

This should work with SrvPowerControl's last beta as well, however, for
some reason the idle command gets send on my machine while the player is
active. Additionally, it would not be necessary to send the not-idle
command every minute.

Would this help to quickly finish your work on the ReallyPreventStandby
plugin for OSX?
Thanks!
