Attached is a zip file for a plugin called VLCPlay which is only suiotable for Windows and for SBS 7.5 (possibly 7.4). It sort of works with faked tests but it needs testing with real h/w.
It is to be manually installed in the ProgramFiles\Squeezebox\server\Plugins directory. Check the custom-convert.conf file for your vlc dvb command. The sout is set up to output a raw WAV stream (i.e. PCM) to be fed into lame or flac depending on SBS user choice. If you have vlc transcoding from an video/audio stream some changes may be necessary. You need to restart SBS to get it loaded and you should have VLCPlay entries in the Plugins tab of WebUI Settings/Advanced and also in WebUI Settings/Filetypes you should have VLC entries. To play a stream - in Favorites create an URL such as vlc://12345678&dvbprogram=abcdefg&Title=Title text&Subtitle=Subtitletext Using the custom-convert lines as a template - the value between "//" and "&" is substituted into the dvb frequency parameter. The value after dvbprogram is substitued into the "dvb-prog" value. The Title and Subtitle values are metadata shown on SB players when stream is ruynning. To debug - WebUI Settings/Advanced/loggin enable logging player.source to DEBUG and plugin.vlcplay to DEBUG. If this can be made to work for you I may modify the plugin so that the vlc part of custom-convert can be changed in settings to avoid reboots to test vlc changes. Separately, in batch files running vlc if the last item to be played is *vlc://quit* vlc will exit. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: VLCPlay.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=11312| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=21804 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
