Heh.  Those are real possibilities.  

With the light sensor, presumably it wouldn't be too hard to code in
condition checks based on the -dead-of-nightness + how long the lights
have been on- in order to distinguish between "OK, I'm up now" and "I'm
just getting up to pee."

With the microphone, though, I think it would require some pretty fancy
programming to come up with a reliable snore & fart filter.
