All I want to do is listen to streamed music, but it seems that I have to spend hours playing with the PC security settings to try to make it work. Ultimately this isn't a profitable use of time, so I think I'll have to give in. There are times when the delay is a few seconds, and time when it is minutes. I've tried lots of Norton 360 settings, but can't find any that reliably let wavin work.
What drives me crazy is that I used to get a minimal delay on SB 7.5.3 and before I had to rebuild all my PC software (due to the usual build-up of rubbish over the years slowing it down to a crawl). Even if Norton is off I still get a delay of a few seconds which I used not to get. SBS behaves perfectly to my Touch - no delays there. I have no problems with any other SB plugins, or indeed any other software (at the moment!). If I knew what Norton was try to check for I might be able to find a setting that would work. but I'm not even sure which bit of Norton is causing the most harm. I still can't believe it is buffering Megabytes of data, but it must be. It might be that if I knew there was a specific protocol involved I might be able to 'allow' that, but I know too little and don't know how to find out. Ho hum. One of life's little trials. -- PasTim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PasTim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41642 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=35718 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
