Hi bpa, thanks for the help. Below is what I got from a terminal. Playing seems ok and cpu usage is only 2% (compared to 100% when transcoding). What I want to let you know is that I cannot install mplayer-nogui as indicated. ubuntu indicated mplayer-nogui no longer exist and said mplayer replace it. Therefore I installed mplayer with "sudo apt-get install mplayer" Further help is very much appreciated!
