I have a Squeezebox 3 on wireless and a Squeezebox Radio on wire. Both
works fine and the stream plays through no problem on both. The only
problem is high cpu on the mplayer thread. If I play on both
squeezeboxs the same time, "top" command will show 2 mplayer threads
running close to 100% each.

I used to be running Ubuntu 8.04 on the same motherboard. Didn't see
this problem before. On the old system, transcoding was taking ~4%
only. Bought a bigger hard drive and did a fresh install of Ubuntu
10.10. All installation was uneventful and straight forward with
Ubuntu recognises all components of the system and working fine.

For the moment, I have enabled "native" playback of wma. However,
there is 2 stations I could not connect with "native" wma.

Although both my players support wma, for some unknown reason, these
stations can only be connected with transcoding enabled.

Is there any way to connect to these stations without transcoding?
Do you think compiling mplayer from source code would help?
