With all due respect to most of your beta testers, 5 steps is 2.5 dB, far too crude a volume step. The "accelerate-on-hold" feature is already there for the impatient, so I don't see why such crude steps are needed. My other complaint is about the volume slider: it's impossible to set a particular volume as it always jumps when I pull my finger away.
