I am happy to report success for local files. Sonething in your last post made me wonder if I had actually put the config file where the executable expected it. So, I did a broad search and it popped up in the root directory where it belonged. When I was executing it using the terminal, I didn't take in to account that the config file should be in whatever directory I was running it from. I am not a sophisticated user. I copied the executable into the folder where the config file was generated, made a modification to test it and then OS X asked me permission to let it access the system ands I was off--
a couple quirks for your reference: --ickstream will not operate with the interfaces, either Peng or a browser, it just freezes before loading TIDAL. MP3 streams appear to be broken, but I did not lower the firewall. I trust this is due to the way they are fetched and is similar to why ingot would not operate with Spotify. --the config file did not actually contain a device description and when I pasted one in from another config file it broke it until I removed the section. Adding that information resulted in the error message for config file. --using just the "flc" flag I am able to play most local files that I have in ALAC, although a few albums in my new folder would not and I do not yet have an answer for that; as I reported, I already had LMS transcoding everything to FLAC and I hope to employ the ingot convolver for some room correction files through this solution and do not yet see why it won't work, since inguz should return the request with the convolved stream and report it correctly. I was able to play 16/44, 24/96, 2488 and 24/192 files. I will not be able to fully verify convolution for a bit, since I have't generated any filters yet, but I should be able to test PEQ shortly. I'd like to thank you sincerely for your efforts to help me get this running and for providing such a useful tool to the community. It works a great deal better than Oppo's upnp interface and iOS app and with all the speed, flexibility and familiarity of LMS. Thank you! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ scintilla's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11680 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=102496 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
