To be clear, I said I have Albums and Titles with &, but no Artists. The & displays wrongly in both cases (i also have problems with the ' character) but only on one my two renderers. It's not implausible that sq2p has a processing problem with Artists, given that the tracks play when no metadata is sent and that foobar is also reported to have problems with tracks where Artists have & in them. I would test it myself but being a 'Custom Scan' user a rescan takes many hours, and I'm busy listening right now :)

Wireless Xubuntu 14.04 laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
