The roku seems to not answer each and every upnp discovery request so what's happens is that it's removed in a middle of a play,, as you noticed. You can do these discoveries much less often (2min or more) - or even disable them - and wait for player response for longer, maybe 1 min. You can also only remove the player after, say, 5 misses (probably a better option), For the speed problem, the roku does not say what sample rate he wants for PCM so there is a mismatch. Normally he must indicate that, but some don't. I tried a fix but obviously not sufficient. For HTTP method, large size is the least recommended method, so no size is much better if it works
