Hi. I've just installed Waveinput for Linux, having moved all my audio processing onto a Raspberry Pi. It works (sort of) fine using the ALSA arecord, but it does stop after a while (3.5 hours) and occasionally stutters if the Pi is a bit busy. I'm wondering if using ecasound would improve things. I've got ecasound working, but when I switch to the ecasound custom-convert.conf all I get is white noise. I tested separately the commands in the conf file and I can record and replay OK. Firstly, would ecasound be more robust than arecord? Secondly, if so, what should I try to get it working with waveimput? Many thanks.
