Having been somewhat confused as to the purpose of this plugin, and then learning that it should also work on the video version (I have the recent one bought just out of interest) I thought I'd give it a try. It's connected to my TV via HDMI.
I used the standard release of the plugin, with the configuration totally standard, and played 16/44.1 tracks. I get sound, but no artwork on the TV (the reverse of a comment on another related thread?). The artwork option is on (as per standard). I then went back to use sq2u in my normal way, and it wouldn't work at all, with the player crashing every time I tried to start a track. Having stopped and restarted my slightly temperamental UPnP player I still got player crashes. I stopped and restarted sq2u, still getting player crashes. I stopped the chromecast plugin, and all worked fine. Odd. I only did this test out of idle interest - I can't see myself using it (If I want to I can use UPnP straight to the TV without using the Chromecast), and I don't know if others would want to use the video version. However, if these results are of any interest, and you want logs (maybe in the New Year!), let me know. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps.
