Oh, you will need to stop and restart the service for the changes to take
effect...

Thanks Jeff, that is one of the first things I did when trouble shooting
yesterday. It was in ColdFusion Documentation...I did just check again and
it is checked. On that same tab, on the bottom, there is a choice that
says:

"Start and run SQL server in the following account" the check boxes are:
"system account" and "this account"

Currently, system account is checked. Is that the correct choice?

Thanks,

Mark

Try making sure that you are using a user account/password (mixed mode) and
not a trusted connection when you get to
that point.

I am ashamed to say that I have been working on this all night and still

can

not figure it out. I could not get a data source set up using Microsoft

SQL

Server Driver in mx7.

I tried it many different ways and got many different error messages.
Finally in desperation, I went to the macromedia forums and found this
topic:

http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=6&th

readid=958596&enterthread=y

It seemed I was not alone in the universe. I followed the instructions

and

the connection worked. It tested fine when I set it up in "data sources"

in

administrative tools in my control panel and it tested fine in ColdFusion
administrator. However, when I went to return to Plum I got the following
error: "The ColdFusion data source you specified doesn't work. Click

back,

correct the ColdFusion data source and click next to try again."

The data source checks ok in ColdFusion. Any clues?

thanks for your time,

Mark Fuqua
