No update. The xcalls/speedstep_pstate_transition issue is still there in b162. This is with an Intel i7 980X. Someone else has reported
a similar issue with an AMD CPU.

I don't believe the problem is directly associated with user processes.
If I kill a process listed in the powertop output, the xcall/pstate
just get assigned to another user process.
