more of a statement than a question. She stepped into the foyer and felt warm
air hit her face. "Yes. I was unavoidably detained back home. It couldn't be
helped. I came as soon as I was able." she said truthfully. Lani declined to
mention why. Her personal life outside the Legacy wasn't his business. She
had left things in Tokyo in bad terms anyways when she came to San Francisco.
Lani quickly took in her surroundings with a quick glance and changed the
subject. "Mireon thought I would do well here with my skills." She said
lightly. Mireon was the precept of the Tokyo house, and had known her brother
well. She knew that he thought highly of her. Mireon had tried to recruit her
since she started college, but her loyalties to Sensi Kimeko had kept her
with the warrior.
