I moved over to him and took his hands in mine, giving him a warm smile,
"thank you Derek," I said. "I appreciate the understanding," I wondered what
he was really thinking about this, I'd known him long enough to know when he
was holding out on me...but he was trying and right now that meant the world
to me. I gave him a quick hug, hoping he knew how much this meant to me.
