Her voice was what triggered me, bolting for the door I unlocked it and tore
it open, pushing roughly past her I headed down the stairs. I needed air, I
couldn't breath in this place...I had to get out! Oh God, Kat...I couldn't
let her see me like this, I felt as though I was loosing my mind...I opened
the front door and ran out into the drive, gasping for air. I fled the
house, moving quickly across the gravel and only slowing as I felt grass
under my feet. I sank to my knees wanting to scream out my frustration,
instead staring out at the water...I had to get back to the city...I had to
find peace.
NM:
Julia landed hard on her backside, barely missing hitting her head as Rachel
tore past and winced with the force of the woman's action even as Patrick,
equally as shocked by Rachel's action, called out to his wife as she ran.
Julia groaned and pushed herself up and tried going after her, pain flashing
across her features as she made it to the first floor and, spotting
Jonathon, gave him quick instruction on getting Derek out of his meeting
with Megan without raising a possible alarm with the newcomer as she gave
chase after Rachel.
But too late and landing sideways gasping against the stone wall of the
drive port, Julia watched Rachel being driven off into the Stag.
"Oh man." Julia groaned, sliding to the ground as both exhausted and pain
settled in. She had no idea what had happened or why Rachel had done what
she had and Patrick watched Rachel leave with fear and near despair in his
gaze, knowing he couldn't go after her because he could very well be the
reason Rachel had broken down the way she had.
The front door opened but Julia couldn't even make herself move to see who
it was and let her head fall almost limply against the same wall her body
was now leaning against.
Hazard pay... she should put in for hazard pay.
