"But yeah," he assured them both about Kat "We can take her to the video
store and do pizza. We just get to take you two out another night. I know,
I know, I'm not the partying kind. But this is a dam-err darn good excuse
to get me in a monkey suit."
His gaze shot to Julia's stomach before he changed his wording and grinned
sheepishly, looking at them both.
Julia chuckled and shook her head humorously before giving each another hug
and then squeezing Derek's hand "Hate to do this but I have to get going.
How about you set it up with Derek and he can fill me in when I call in?"
She mock tapped her other hand, closed into a loose 'fist' against Nick's
chin "And don't keep Kat up too late."
"Walk me out?" she then turned to look inquisitively at Derek, motioning
with her head a little toward the entrance.
