Derek gave Nick a grateful grin.
"Thank you for the effort," he said a sardonic glint in his eyes. "Though,
I think it may be a futile one. Her mother is already teaching her about
buttheads and such."
Derek nodded and started towards the door. "I'll be back shortly," he
assured the pair they left behind and started out of the control room.
"Hey," Julia told him mock indigently as they walked down the stairs and
toward the front door "that was a very good substitute for what I was going
to say you know."
She opened the door and they headed toward the SUV. Julia inhaled the air
and looked at the grounds around them, simply enjoying it and the very
simple and basic act of being there, with Derek and things were the way they
were. That of course wasn't considering the Legacy side of things, just the
more personal aspect of things.
"It'll only take me a few minutes to go pick up the dress," she let him know
as she opened the door and started to get in but sat so that she was facing
him "Then I'll head over to the Aunt's house and call you there. Is it just
Kristen, Claire and Brady?"
