"Nick's already checking on that," Derek told her "I also have him in
contact with Jane Witherspoon, in case Kristen called there for some
reason." He kissed her cheek. "Be careful," he advised.
"I will." Julia promised, watching as he stepped back enough to watch her
pull away.
She looked in her rearview mirror as she reached the gate and thought she
just might drop the field investigating too and grinned wryly. She had it
bad and didn't care in the slightest.
After reaching the ferry and crossing the bay she turned onto the freeway
that lead toward the dress shop she had found online in Derek's office. It
took all of twenty minutes to try it on, get accessories and pack it into
the UV before she was off again and heading toward Reese's Aunt's house.
