He should be used to us ignoring him by now," Derek mused. Then he
groaned slightly. "Philip," he said softly. "I feel as though I need
to break the news to him as gently as I do to my mother." He smiled
then. "I had planned on talking with my mother alone. Perhaps, I
should include Philip. Or talk to him afterward, that would delay talking to
Sloan additionally."
Julia winked as she started walking backwards, asking
"Wait on Philip til I get back if you don't mind? And I remember... no
speeding."
She said the last part with mock resignation before
winking and 'love you' and heading out the door. The sooner she left, the
sooner she was back.
Sloan saw her coming and so politely excused himself and
waved at both of them and then reentered the House.
He spotted Derek but let him go back to the kitchen as he
headed up the stairs.
He wanted to take a look in the Control Room for a
moment....
Julia looked over at Megan quietly for a brief moment
before starting out. She wasn't going to say anything unless the other
woman said anything first. It just didn't feel right to do anything
else.
