"Yes I am, very much so," Derek assured her, even though it had not been a
question.  The fact was he'd never really thought about marriage to anyone.
He'd never thought he would be married, but then again he'd nver thought
Julia would come back, or that she would even have anything to do with him.
His elbow rested on the arm of the chair, his hand touching his chin slighty
as he mulled this over.  His mother thought, he should be married, he had no
doubt of that.  But what did Julia think?  And what did he think?  He wasn't
certain on either count.  The entire idea was so foreign to him.
