"I suppose I was," Derek told her. "I told her.....I think she likes the
idea of being a grandmother." He fell silent for a moment.
"Julia? how do you feel about marriage?"
"People take it for granted too much these days," she said, sitting back and
hooking her foot around the leg of a footrest and pulling it over to set her
feet on before answering on a more personal level "But having seen my
parents I know that it can be a great thing and I wish more people viewed
marriage like they did. Why?"
