Almost spitting out soda in her mouth at Philip's last comment, Kristin
choked a bit, laughing. "Ah, so many choices, and so little room in my
stomach," opening the fridge, she glanced over her shoulder, "Any
preferance?" Still smiling, Kristin leaned into the fridge, trying to do a
quick 'eenie, meenie, minie, moe' for her chocolate choice, and stopped
dead.
He grinned boyishly and even sheepishly at her reaction.
Kind of chocolate? "Oh, raid th' butter-- holy, uh--"
He was out of his seat and heading toward the fridge himself, remembering
what was in the door just below the butter dish-- and saw that Kristin had
already found the bottle.
Just a small bottle...of...prenatal vitamins?? Kristin knew she'd missed
a few things while she was back in Boston, but this...and the name on the
bottle...Julia Walker. A supposedly dead woman with prenatal vitamins.
Kristin was definately missing something.
He blushed furiously as he took the slowly took the bottle from her, hoping
she didn't take it as a rude gesture.
"I, um" he said, the last word trailing as he tried to find any other
explaination than the obvious and without lying.
He couldn't.
He scratched his head sheepishly and felt his cheeks warm.
