"Wha' I'm worried abou' now is the trouble she may face wi' the Council." he
admitted, not having said this to anyone else and his gaze worried "Sloan's
here. Ye can bet the Council and Cross aren't far behind."
He looked at Kristin and reached out, touching her hand "Please don't
mention what ye found. No' now with Sloan around. She doesnae need the
added pressure o' them possibly ostrosizing her child."
He realized he was asking a lot of her but he wouldn't be able to forgive
himself if Sloan or the others found out because of his slipup.
Kristin looked thoughtfully at Philip. It was quite a different thing to
hear the events from someone who'd been there, as compared to what the files
had recorded. It was clear how much Julia had meant, not just to Philip,
but to everyone.
She wasn't sure what to make of the fact that Julia had been returned;
even within the Legacy, it wasn't exactly a 'normal' thing for people to be
returned to life.
Frowning at the mention of Sloan, "You're right about Sloan and the
council. And Julia's return certainly explains Sloan's even more abrasive
than usual mood; and it's just a matter of time before everyone else shows
up-Sloan will make sure of that."
Giving Philip a small smile, she spoke softly, "Knowing Sloan, he won't
let the pressure ease up at all-even not knowing that she's pregnant; you
don't have to worry, I won't say anything."
