"The beach it is," Derek agreed and he glanced over at Philip.  "How about
near sunset?"

"Sounds perfect." he answered, meaning it.  Then he stood "If'n ye don't
mind, I'd like te get ready for it.  There's a wee bit more than puttin' th'
collar on."

He was both teasing and reverent for what was about to happen.

Julia got up and gently released Derek's hand before going to Philip and
kissing him on the cheek.

"Thank you."
