"This is California Julia, it doesn't get THAT cold here," Derek told her
before releasing her. He took her hand and started towards the door. "Let's
go find Kat and Rachel, then we'll head into town."
"It does too." Julia grinned at the old 'discussion', this time adding "And
Amelia will be much more comfortable with it."
They were hand in hand as they went down the stairs. Once they were in the
kitchen and on their way out, Julia asked Jonathan to let the others know
what was up and that they would be back later.
Jonathan went off with a grin to relay the message as they left to head
toward the gatehouse.
It wasn't until they got to the door that Julia was wondering if meeting up
with Rachel was such a hot idea.
