Amber got out of the SUV and walked towards
Kristin. She hadn't admitted it, but it was her
stomach that had rumbled. She hadn't been able to
stomach the airplane food and had decided to hold out
until she landed. She was ready to get the
introductions over with, and hoped that the wedding
party wouldn't mind having a stranger among them.
Noticing the concerned look on Amber's face, Kristin spoke softly.
"Hey, don't look so worried; you'll love everyone. And if it makes you
feel better, I've only just met Julia, and she was good enough to let
me 'tag-team' her with Alex to get her ready...everyone will be happy
to have you here." A slight shadow crossed her face as she remembered
that Sloan, Cross, and the Council were going to be starting their
thing tomorrow; Kristin was glad that Amber could meet everyone
tonight, during the celebration.
