"I can manage unpacking, but thanks. What would be
illegitimate about Julia?" Amber asked, cocking her
eyebrow.
It was definately better if Amber knew the story before Cross got his
hands on her. "Well, from what I understand, she died a few years ago,
but the powers that be allowed her to return." Kristin told her. There
wasn't really any need to get into everything that Philip had told her
earlier. With a slight frown, she continued, "I guess it's only
natural that Cross and everybody wants to investigate, but he tends to
go overboard more often than not. Besides, the people here know her
the best-if they're convinced she's legit...then she is."
Sighing a bit in frustration, Kristin had a bad feeling about the
coming days.
