After exchanging a glance with Julia he turned his eyes back to Jim. "He's
dead," at least Derek thought and prayed that he was. The vampires were
having a nasty habit of not staying dead, at least some of them anyway. "He
won't hurt anyone else," he said confidently.
Jim swallowed once, looking at them both before nodding once and asking
quietly "Could you... tell Reese I'll be in touch."
And with that, with Blair giving them a solemn look before following, Jim
Ellison turned and left.
Julia slipped her hand into Derek's and watched the two until they were
gone, then set her cheek against his arm before straightening and
remembering Bryce and asking "Do you think we can give him a lead to someone
that has experience in contacting the other side?"
