"If what youy're saying is true," Bryce began  "And if she can really speak to Amanda, I would like her to deliver a message.  That's all I'm asking."  His gaze turned to Julia.  "If you could help me in any way, I'd be forever in your debt.  If not, then I promise I will never trouble you again."   Either way, it would signify the end of his journy.  Even if she couldn't help him, he knew that this was his last step.  If he didn't find Amanda now, he'd give up photography, return to Nome, and live the way his father wanted him too.   Julia reached out to him, touching his arm gently, just from seeing the pain in his eyes "It's not as easy as.."   She blinked and paused minutely, before continuing with a slightly curious frown "just calling someone."   Then she looked at him, or rather, at a point over his shoulder, and then back at him "B?"
