Derek was not at all impressed with the roller bladder either. Though it concerned him that Bryce's "hobby" was so well known. He frowned slightly. "Discussing helping Mr. Markham, however he has yet to explain exactly what it is he needs to do."
"If what youy're saying is true," Bryce began "And if she can really speak to Amanda, I would like her to deliver a message. That's all I'm asking." His gaze turned to Julia. "If you could help me in any way, I'd be forever in your debt. If not, then I promise I will never trouble you again."
Either way, it would signify the end of his journy. Even if she couldn't help him, he knew that this was his last step. If he didn't find Amanda now, he'd give up photography, return to Nome, and live the way his father wanted him too.
