Amber simply looked at Kristin for a few seconds, a
look that said "You know that won't work on me."
Then, sighing, she said, "Since when are you in the
habit of denial? I know you well enough to know
something's going on. You know, the blushing, quicker
breathing thing whenever he's around. I'm not letting
it go that easily," Amber quipped.
Well, sometimes she was wrong. Sighing, she looked out the window,
trying not to meet Amber's eyes. Trying to grin, she failed.
"I'm not in the habit of denial-you know me better than that." she
said quietly. "But I'm also not in the habit of..." she broke off as
realization swept her. Her feelings for Philip were no longer
confused.
Unfortunately, that didn't make her feel any better.
