"Something wrong?" Amber asked, suddenly a bit
concerned. She thought perhaps Kristin had had some
sort of crush on Philip, but maybe, judging from
Kristin's reaction, things ran deeper than that.
"Hey, I didn't mean anything by it, I just wanted to
tease you a bit after I noticed you blushing around
him," she said, giving Kristin an understanding look.
Shaking her head, Kristin managed a smile as she turned back to face
Amber. "I'm working on it." She didn't want to worry Amber, but on
the other hand, the idea of anyone at all finding out exactly how she
felt; well, just the thought made her want to run and hide.
"Every woman needs to be a bit mysterious, you know." she tried to
joke.
Looking around the kitchen as things grew quiet upstairs, Kristin
started to worry full force about the trial.
"Juice?" she asked Amber; she had to stay busy.
