Seeing the first aid kit would not be needed, Amber
hugged it to herself. Talk about an eventful first
day, she thought, looking at Kristin leaning against
the wall. But at least everyone was okay. "And I'll
be alone here soon," she mumbled under her breath,
thinking of the fact that Kristin and Philip would be
going to Boston. She was glad Jane would be getting
help, but she was also afraid of what that meant for
her, and she didn't know if she was ready to be left
to fend for herself.
