"I am really beginning to hate this." Nick commented, being roped up like he had been the last time "This place even looks like the last one.... before we blew it to hell that is."   Alex approached him and stopped to look up at him "You shouldn't be mean, Nick.  These aren't the same people and they've been nice."   "Oh, right." Nick countered before looking down at her "Alex, I love you but this is asking too much.  The present you're going to owe me after this one hasn't even been made yet."   He tested the ropes and was about to try and reach Alex on some emotional level when everyone seemed to start screaming, making him wince with the volume of it.  His gaze went to the girl on the altar as the black mass leaked from the artifact and headed to her.   "Alex, honey-" Nick tried to get her to stop whatever it was that was happening but realized she wouldn't be able to, and so started pulling on the ropes even harder.
