There's a plugin called "net" that should ping better than the 
command... but if you really wanted to use the command, there are 
several small programs around that send the output of commands to PP.

Yes. :-)

How you want to do it is up to you but my advice is to hit the 
expressions help page (now it's called "functions")... there's all sort 
of really useful stuff there. Really, print it.
