The 8 pin port is not a modem on the Duo. If your Duo has an internal modem
(most of them have the 14.4 PowerBook Express modem), you will find it by
folding down the right leg on the back of the Duo. When you fold the legs
down, the left one reveals the AC Adapter port, while the right reveals
either an RJ11 jack, or a blank plastic cover for modemless Duos.

Good luck,

Andrew

Subject: DIN Modem to RJ Adapters?

Hi!
I recently obtained some PB Duos to give as gifts. They all have 16 Mbs
of RAM and an internal modem.
However, the modems do not have the familiar RJ, american kind of
socket, but a regular 8-pin serial DIN socket. Just like the
printer/modem port.
