It is on the Disk Tools disk, so I can be certain that
I tried it, but it wouldn't work. This is why I am
thinking that the drive went away or even the MB.
Would be nice to have another drive or laptop to find
out which is bad. I might download a newer version of
Drive Setup, to see if it makes a difference.

I did try the apple, opt, ctrl and power button trick,
but it didn't help.

You guys are great...sticking with me on this. I do
appreciate it very much.
