You are quite correct. The form factor is the same and, if you had a NiMh battery in the 3400 it would be completely interchangeable... The 190 doesn't support a L-ion battery, however. I had no idea if it would recognize it or not.. I never tried to put one in there... Seems like you have it running off the L-ion, but I would be concerend about differences in power outputs between the two batteries... check the labels and see what they say.
