Hmmm, I was just reviewing the comparison for different 5300's and at least here it doesn't show that the 5300cs came in 1mb Active Display. But I can confirm that this machine is a 'cs' not a 'c' or 'ce' and it is 1 mb Active Display.
http://skyscraper.fortunecity.com/seagate/536/pb5300.html According to this page, only the c and ce series came with 1 mb. So I guess my question of actual screen differences is more important now than ever. In fact, looking at the LowendMac 5300 page, it would seem to indicate that there is a difference in screens. http://www.lowendmac.com/pb2/5300.shtml Displays: * 640x480 10.4" color dual scan with 16-bit color * 640x480 10.4" color active matrix with 16-bit color So unless anybody knows different, I may be out of luck with a simple swap? I don't know? Thnx Dave -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
