Hmm.  I think I remember seeing troubles like this before.  Usually 
it's because you are trying to to use the 68k version of the shared 
library manager (68k and PPC versions are wildly different due to 
different system architectures).  Make sure you have the "Shared 
Library Manager PPC" installed.

Installing 8.1 might help (by giving you bits and pieces you might be 
missing).  But you should go to 8.1 anyway.  8.0 has a handful of 
bugs (which is, of course, why 8.1 was released in the first place).

7.6.1 will run nicely on this machine, but it is by no means your 
only option.  IMNSHO, 8.1 is the best compromise between speed and 
features for this system.  8.5.1 and 8.6 run passably, too.

I've never heard of Spaceway 2000 before.  Is it fun? ;-)  There was 
some software that broke between 7.6 and 8.x, but it should be pretty 
rare as the code-base and API set is still largely the same.
