Thanks Bruce! OK, maybe I'm too demanding, in that if an install doesn't work the first time, I don't even think about trying again. If it didn't work the first time, why would it the next time? Fortified by your positive experience, I reinstalled the 1.04 drivers, rebooted and hot damn! it now works. My ASP doesn't show any NB cards, nor the MV16 at all I'm still skeptical this is a better solution than a PC card though, the dongle really is a brute. The Farallon and 3COM cards I have use nice tidy dongles which incorporate the cord and RJ45 plug. A PC card is removable, and compact and lightweight, quite the opposite of the clunky MV16-EN monstrosity. Perhaps I should do a little more messing with it but I'm thinking I'll probably pull it and go back to the PC card.
