"The Modem card never kicks out but the enet card sometimes does. After
boot finishes, I just pull the card about 1/2 way out and then push it back
in. It is then recognized and I'm back in business."

I had written to the list several weeks ago with a related problem (pc card
won't go all the way into the PCMCIA slot) and had gotten some suggestions
(use paper clip to try to release a spring in the slot) that haven't panned
out. I've been following this thread and wnat to jump in with my problem.

Here's my situation; I have a 1400cs with a 166mhz cpu. I 've tried to
insert a Farallon ethermac card into both PCMCIA slots but it keeps
springing back whenever I try to push it in. Is there some kind of special
PCMCIA voodoo to get these cards into their slots? Is it the card or the
slot?
