For IE, I doubt that you'll see any real improvement. The older ppc chip 
is just not fast enough to render all of the graphic elements and page 
layouts that we find in web pages today. If you set up IE so that it 
doesn't load images, you'll see an improvement.

At worst, SpeedDoubler won't hurt, and you can always de-install it. 
While it is true that it is less useful with later versions of 
MacOS/applications (especially since more of these later programs are PPC 
native), I find that the Speed Copy function is still substantially 
faster than the OS routines, especially when copying files over a 
network, but even when copying on the same system. The "Copy Agent" 
feature is also great for performing lightweight backups. If you try it, 
be sure to use v8.1.2.
