After not using a 3400 for awhile I powered it up this weekend for
software retrieval. To my surprise the screen has begun to roll and
won't stop. The laptop worked perfect when last used. I've left it on
for up to an hour hoping a thorough warm up will help but it doesn't.
I've swapped a working screen onto the laptop and that made no
difference. I've also checked all cables and connections.
I searched archives but it appears nobody has brought up this problem
before. I've never seen it happen on any PB and am uncertain what to
check next.
Has anyone encountered this problem?
Two words I hope not to read are "logic board. " :-)
Chuck

Does "video controller" sound any better ?

Oops, thats part of the motherboard.

When you say rolling, you mean like what you would see on an out of tune TV ?
