It's driving me crazy, Roger, and I'm afraid it's in the logic board. I've now swapped the power supply board, trackpad board and cable, DRAM expansion card, PRAM backup battery - all to no avail. I've also reset the power manager a bunch of times. I've taken everything (except the logic board) from the rolling screen PB and put it into my other good 3400 which works fine with those parts. I don't like the thought of giving up on the logic board but can't think of anything else to try. It was working perfectly the last time I shut it down (a month ago) and now this problem arises at the next start up. Maybe someone else will come up with some idea's. Chuck

I'm having a difficult time adjusting to the concept that it was working so well and now has this never-before-heard-of problem.
