I thought it might have been a bad cable until I swapped a good screen. What I
didn't do was look at the connector for the screen. I'll look for a needle in the
connector tonight. The motherboard is very clean with no signs or corrosion but
I've got nothing to lose by getting out my magnifying glass and scanning the whole
thing.
