I also have the less common 240mhz model. I also have a 5400rpm, 40gb hard drive upgrade. MacOS 9.1 was slow and ugly. Never again will OS 9.1 see the light of my 3400c's backlit display. NEVER!!!! DIE OS 9!!! Well maybe, if my clock chipping project turns out good on the 3400. I've read in several places It can be coaxed up to 300mhz with a 50mhz bus crystal. That�s a full 25% increase in performance in both arenas. Come to think of it nah. I'll just have an even faster 8.6 powered computer! Then maybe these VCDs wouldn�t be so choppy. Also a 24x cd drive which doesn�t count for anything other than I don't know anybody else with the 24x in their 3400c.
